When you enter the club room and look around you, you see maybe forty or fifty people. Lovely people, all of them. But...

When they sit down at your table and take their cards from the board, things change. In the nicest possible way, they are out to get you! In fact, out of those forty or fifty people, only one is on your side. It's a really good idea to look after your partner.

Check out this excellent web site to see if you are a perfect partner.

Our Clubhouse Project

Latest Milestones:

  • In early March our interest-free loan was approved by Council
  • We also submitted and paid for our Development Application (DA) using the NSW Governments's new Planning Portal
  • Tony and I signed the Agreement with Council and the Lease (of the land).

Next step: We hope to start construction soon after the DA is approved.

Exciting times!!

You can view your clubhouse and carpark plans here and here.

Craig

Hello there!

Thanks for visiting our website. The Southern Highlands Bridge Club (SHBC) is a friendly and active duplicate bridge club that warmly welcomes players of all standards.

Now that COVID-19 restrictions have eased, we have re-started face-to-face bridge at East Bowral Community Centre with appropriate precautions. Members and visitors are welcome to register to play in coming sessions on Monday and Saturday afternoons, as well as Wednesday evenings, via the links provided in the Coming Events column.

While the COVID-19 situation remains fluid, we have also re-started our sessional red point championship competitions and our trophy events, which are listed on both the Calendar and Events pages. We also hope to run all our various full day red point Pairs and Teams championships as the year unfolds.

Playing online or face-to-face bridge, we recognise that the game at our club is not just about competition but also about enjoyment, collegiality and social interaction. We encourage all our participants to show respect and friendliness both to partner and the opponents.

Hope to see you at the bridge table very soon!
